Troye Sivan Drops Stunning New Single «She’s the Best», And Nicole Kidman Steals the Show
The Aussie pop sensation is back with a vengeance, announcing his fourth studio album alongside a jaw-dropping video featuring none other than Hollywood royalty.
Pop fans across Europe, rejoice, Troye Sivan has officially kicked off a dazzling new era with the release of his brand-new single «She’s the Best», and it comes with a star-studded surprise nobody saw coming.
The Grammy-nominated heartthrob, 31, dropped the title track from his hotly anticipated fourth studio album, «She’s the Best», which is set to land on 9th October, 2026. And in what could be the pop moment of the year, Nicole Kidman makes a show-stopping cameo in the video, marking a glorious collision of Australia’s two most celebrated exports.
A New Chapter — With a Big Label Behind Him
The single marks Sivan’s first release since signing with Interscope Records, and if it’s anything to go by, the partnership is going to be electric. Written alongside an all-star team including Leland, Jack Antonoff (the man behind half of modern pop), George Daniel of The 1975 and Styalz Fuego, the track opens with hushed spoken verses before guitars, strings and synths explode into pure euphoria.
But it’s the meaning behind the music that’s got everyone talking. Sivan describes the song as a love letter to the women, especially trans women, drag queens and feminine spirits who have shaped his life and creativity.
«At some point along the way I realised — the only constant in my life keeping me somewhat sane has not been the work, or the men, but the feminine. Thank god for them», the singer confessed in a statement.
Nicole Kidman Blesses the Screen
Directed by Gordon von Steiner — the creative mastermind behind Sivan’s Grammy-nominated visuals for «Rush» and «Got Me Started», the video draws inspiration from 1980s queer New York, blending hyper-feminine iconography with high-fashion glamour and sensuality.
Into this world steps Kidman herself, in a cinematic appearance already being tipped as «destined for pop culture canon». It’s the kind of crossover that sends European fashion editors and pop stans into equal meltdown.
What We Know About the Album
Described as «a painting that captures my life in all of its moods and colours», «She’s the Best» promises to be Sivan’s most personal and complete artistic statement yet. The album tackles desire, identity, joy, loneliness and queer belonging with startling honesty, a record meant to be «watched as much as listened to».
A Decade of Pop Domination
For those who’ve been living under a rock: Sivan has quietly become one of contemporary pop’s defining forces. The stats speak for themselves:
- 15.5 billion global streams and counting
- Nine Billboard Hot 100 entries
- Three Grammy nominations
- Eight ARIA Awards and a Golden Globe nomination for «Revelation» from the movie «Boy Erased»
His 2023 album «Something to Give Each Other» smashed into the Billboard 200 Top 5 and racked up over 2.2 billion streams, while the SWEAT Tour with Charli xcx became one of 2024’s hottest tickets, with European dates leaving fans in Berlin, Amsterdam and London utterly spellbound.
Hailed as «the perfect pop star» by TIME, Sivan has fronted campaigns for Prada, Cartier, Valentino and Calvin Klein, launched his luxury fragrance brand Tsu Lange Yor, and even appeared in HBO’s «The Idol alongside The Weeknd» and Blackpink’s Jennie.
The Bottom Line
With «She’s the Best», Troye Sivan isn’t just releasing a song, he’s opening his most vulnerable, liberated chapter yet. And with Nicole Kidman along for the ride, Europe’s pop faithful will be counting down the days until 9th October 2026.
