Rising queer-pop artist Loren Heat is making waves in the music scene with their anthemic new single «Want It All», released today (19th July 2024) via Quiet Crown. This track is the final single from their highly anticipated debut EP «Scarlet Haze», set to be released on 9th August. Loren explores the turbulence of admitting your feelings to someone and being at your most vulnerable in this up-beat love song.
«Want It All» brings to mind the sounds of pop icons such as Dua Lipa, Robyn, and Slayyyter. It’s not your typical love song; it offers a more optimistic and risky take on the situation, avoiding the mellow and unfortunate tones that often accompany love-themed tracks. Loren explains, ‘Want It All is about wanting to admit your love and feelings for someone you already have a friendship with but being scared that it may crumble. What if it doesn’t work out and we lose everything in the fallout?’
The single was co-written and produced by Chad Rodgers (Cape Cub) and mastered by Jack Kennedy. Musical influences of Renee Rapp, Dua Lipa, Alfie Jukes, Years & Years, Rita Ora, and Mabel form a foundation for Loren’s dark pop-leaning songs. Loren’s music is heavily influenced by the North East’s LGBTQIA community, adding a unique touch to their sound.
With tastemaker support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Notion, Earmilk, Cultr, and NARC already under their belt, Loren Heat is quickly making their unique voice heard beyond their thriving local Teesside scene. Loren’s journey through the stages of falling in love, from cocky flirtation to genuine affection, is beautifully captured in «Want It All», making it a must-listen track for anyone navigating the complexities of love and vulnerability.
