Omar Rudberg Gets Playful and Proud in New Single «Malandro»

Omar Rudberg is turning up the heat this autumn—and not just because he’s sharing the stage with Zara Larsson across Europe’s biggest arenas. On October 31, the Swedish-Venezuelan pop sensation dropped his latest single, «Malandro», and it’s got rhythm, swagger, and a whole lot of heart.

Fresh off a whirlwind start to Zara’s European tour (Munich, we see you!), Omar’s new track is a spicy blend of pop and Latin flair. «Malandro» isn’t just a catchy tune—it’s a cultural shout-out. The title comes straight from Venezuelan slang, describing someone shady and slick. But don’t worry, Omar’s not warning us off—he’s inviting us in.

From «Dying» to Dancing

«Malandro» follows his emotional ballad «Dying», proving Omar’s got range for days. And let’s not forget his Rock Björnen sweep—four awards, including Male Artist of the Year and Swedish Song of the Year for «I’m Not a Boy», Clearly, he’s not just riding the wave… he’s making it.

Spanish Chorus, Swedish Star

«The chorus came naturally in Spanish», Omar shares. «It wasn’t planned—it just happened». That spontaneous spark is what makes «Malandro» feel so alive. It’s not a performance—it’s a celebration of identity. Omar’s Latin roots aren’t just influencing his music; they’re leading the charge.

Tour Life, Arena Dreams

While «Malandro» pulses through playlists, Omar’s also lighting up stages from London’s OVO Arena Wembley to Stockholm’s Avicii Arena. Supporting Zara Larsson on all 17 dates? That’s no small feat—it’s a pop power move.

So whether you’re vibing to «Malandro» on your commute or catching Omar live in Amsterdam, one thing’s clear: he’s not just showing us who he is—he’s dancing it out, one beat at a time.
