Nicki’s career rocketed in 1995 when her dance version of «Total Eclipse of the Heart» stormed the global charts, resulting in a top 2 smash both sides of the Atlantic – a mean feat not repeated by many to this day. After two hit albums and numerous single releases, she then represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with «Don’t Play That Song Again» which propelled her back into the media spotlight.
Fast forward to 2015, after a plethora of singles and albums graced dancefloors the world over, Nicki released what would become one of her most popular tracks to date, when «This Love» became a summer anthem. With the follow up disco stompers «Teardrops (on the Disco Floor)» and «Steal the Crown» both hitting the top spot of the vocal iTunes charts, Nicki’s recent releases have gone from strength to strength.
Co-written by Gordon Pogoda (with releases this year including Steps and Sonia) and Michael Jay (whose endless credits include songs with Kylie Minogue and Celine Dion), together with another top-notch production by Matt Pop, the infectious ‘«On Your Marks, Get Set, Go Away» will have you humming and tapping your feet well into the night.
I got the chance to pre-listen to Nicki French new single «On Your Marks, Get Set, Go Away» – this is happy pop tune, that guide you to a good mood and start dancing. So mark the date, you don’t want to avoid a good mood on 8th November 2018.
«On Your Marks, Get Set, Go Away» CD Single Release and Digital Single Release (8th November 2018).
