Matthew E’s music is emboldened by his community of proud gay people living out loud in NYC. The unique artistic point of view he’s developed through tight connections with his LGBTQIA brothers and sisters is the backbone of his sound.

Matt’s passion to create music was first ignited a decade ago in New York’s East Village when he fell in love with an aspiring pop musician. They chased their dreams all over the country in a rickety station wagon, looking for an outlet for their big gay creativity.

Ultimately Matt’s love lost his battle against depression to suicide. Now, all these years later, at a time where gay voices are thriving in pop culture, Matt is fulfilling his first love’s dream, creating music for their community and beyond.

Channeling the spirit of his past love with the zeitgeist of today in mind, Matt E has laid down a track that will get any crowd shaking their asses and feeling sexy.
