He is a producer, songwriter and vocalist from Calgary, Canada, who is ‘a vibrant, exciting, and collected individual, poised to make his presence felt in the ever-evolving Calgary arts community’.
Hayden has been performing professionally for almost 5 years now, putting on and performing at various events for his program MusicGivesYYC, performing with Cirque de la Nuit at venues like the Palace Theater and Pride Calgary, opening for artists such as Scenic Route to Alaska at the Gateway, and being nominated for Male Artist of the Year by the YYC Music Awards in 2018.
His most recent single, «Take You», not only received over 13,000 streams on Spotify, but also opened up opportunities with Beakerhead, Calgary Pride and collaborations with artists from around the world.
Founder of MusicGivesYYC, Hayden works to create opportunities for young kids to pursue a dream in the music industry. MGYYC works to raise money for children’s music programming through merchandise sales and events. The funds work to execute programs throughout the cit and he has worked to raise over 2000$ to date through sales and 3 fundraising shows, in hopes to bring awareness to the issue.
Hayden McHugh‘s «Take You» will be one of the newcomers that will try to get on the LGBTQ Music Chart this Sunday – only your votes will get «Take You» on the chart (vote on this weeks chart here).
