7 new songs are ready to challenge the 50 songs on the LGBTQ Music Chart from Monday. For the challengers for next week chart, we had over 30 submitted songs to choose between, but still only 7 available spots. You can vote on these songs from Monday – here is the voting page.
Darin – «What’s Christmas Anyway»
Out LGBTQ artist Darin began his career when he was 14 years old in Sweden, writing songs for others. He debuted as an artist with his first single «Money for Nothing» in 2005 at the age of 17 with Sony Music. The song went straight to #1 on the singles chart followed by the platinum selling album «The Anthem».
Oscar Zia – «Nyårsvals»
Oscar Zia is the artist and songwriter who combines dancing pop with dynamic r’n’b, whose music has been streamed over 30 million times on Spotify.
Allen King – «Hip Hop»
Allen King is the only one that has been on the LGBTQ Music Chart from the start and still has the same song ( «My Boy» ) on the chart ! Now he is back with his new single «Feelings».
Peter Jöback – «Elvis, Einstein & Jag»
One of the biggest stars in Scandinavia. He was handpicked by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Hal Prince to carry the mask at the grand 30th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
Brianna Musco – «Paradise»
«Paradise» tells the story of a girl she met in college that she could no longer deny her attraction for after years of internalised-homophobia and denial. This song describes how she finally began to accept her sexuality and how she was able to heal as an individual and be unapologetically herself.
Realxman – «Murder on the dance floor»
Realxman is a perfect blend of the past, present and future. Known for his dope fits, energetic presence, blending of genres and consistently pushing boundaries, X is proving to be an all around visionary who’s music straight up invades your senses.
Cory Stewart – «Give In Tonight»
A Royal Conservatory of Music vocal program graduate, Stewart has been a songwriter and student of music since the age of seven, receiving accolades from numerous music festivals across Canada.
