«Flowers» is the lead track from his upcoming sophomore album. «Flowers» is a chill synth led track, intertwined with sparkle and 80s edge. Everything, from the song’s lyrics to the melody and production, represents his transformation into positive self-acceptance and love, and he wrote this song as a love letter to himself. It’s the perfect way to kick off the ‘new year, new me’ ethos as it blossoms into life. Gabe recorded «Flowers» at home in his studio and the track is produced by Hi5, Sandra Carletti, and Gabe, himself. The song also sees the popstar’s, signature positive energy, upbeat vibe and strong message sewn throughout.
Telling us about the song, Gabe says «’Flowers’ is a love letter to myself! This song came to me in a moment that I needed it the most, it became my good companion! Through the ups and downs and everything in between, this song makes me feel alive and it makes me feel good! Flowers is my favourite song in the universe! It reminds me that all is well because I love myself!»
Brazilian born with Angeleno soul, Gabe Furtado is a multitalented artist: singer, songwriter, actor, director, writer, and producer. He began his studies in communications and journalism. However, after his father’s unexpected death, he realised that life was too short and decided to drop out of college to pursue his passion for music.
In 2017, he released his first professional EP, «Just Feelings», which featured his rendition of Lady Gaga’s «Bad Romance», which has amassed over 200k streams. Gabe then made homemade videos for two of his songs to accompany his EP on his YouTube channel. His 2018 single «Last Goodbye», which also is the lead single from his debut album «Life»; a song dedicated to exploring his feelings surround his dad’s sudden passing. The «Last Goodbye» video included stunning visuals, piqued the interest of the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival, and was nominated for all music video categories in the Los Angeles International Music Video Festival.
