Currently he lives in Frankfurt, Germany, after living in London for some years where he found a lot of inspiration in the colourful gay scene, especially the legendary Royal Vauxhall Tavern. He is quite eclectic, using any style that benefits the song, mainly Electro Pop, Singer/Songwriter, Rap, Vintage and Indie Pop, Disco, House, Jazz and some Rock elements.
His new album «Raven Rehab» was been released in June 2022 on all digital platforms. It consists of 12 very different tunes, many of them have been on the LGBTQ Music Chart, e.g. «Right!» about being gaslighted by wrong friends and also society into thinking anything you do is wrong, «Guacamole and Carbs» that combine Rap parts with vocal hooks, 1999 about a woman that has been depressed for long without knowing why, or «Trampoline» about enjoying being by yourself. The main theme «Ravens Fly» is a bit darker, as well as «What Times Are We Livin‘ In» and «Synthesis I», as these songs have been written lately, dealing with Om Yoa’s feelings about the Corona crisis and the Ukraine war. However, there will be «Better Times», as the Pop song at number 11 tells you. The album closes with a hommage to Robin Gibbs from the Bee Gees, Om Yoa’s favourite singer.
All in all the album takes you through different moods, genres and emotions. Have a listen.
