Pandora Boxx, famously known from RuPaul’s Drag Race, has just released her most personal album yet, titled «Boxx». This album marks a shift in her artistic journey, presenting fun, quirky, and entirely PG tracks. Unlike her previous works, «Boxx» showcases Pandora’s softer side and highlights her growth as an artist.
One of the standout tracks on the album is «Pill», which combines a rock vibe with elements from Alice in Wonderland. This song delves into real-life struggles Pandora has faced as an adult. Another notable track is «Stars», a tribute to Star Trek, reflecting her childhood dream of traveling to the stars.
«Raspberries» is an ode to Carol Channing and marks Pandora’s farewell to a beloved impersonation. Meanwhile, «Gay» is a poignant response to Governor DeSantis’ controversial legislation, serving as a powerful anthem for LGBTQ+ rights. The album’s first single, «Dance», is a heartfelt song written for the little boy Pandora once was, encouraging everyone to dance like no one is watching.
Pandora Boxx wrote all the tracks on «Boxx» and has a deep connection to each one. The album was produced by Brandon James Gwinn, with additional production by Electropoint on the tracks «Swish» and «Hey». The project was executive produced by Michael R. Steck, Parvesh Cheena, Amelia Black, and Bruce Peters.
Pandora’s dedication to her craft and her personal growth is evident throughout the album. She has also been doing internal work and therapy, which has opened her mind to creating better artistry. Pandora hopes that listeners will see a more multifaceted artist in «Boxx» and appreciate the journey she has undertaken to produce this work.
«Boxx» is available on all streaming platforms, along with its first single, «Dance». The music video for «Dance» can be found on YouTube. Pandora Boxx’s latest album is a dedication to anyone who has ever felt like they didn’t belong and a celebration of being true to oneself.
