After more than a year of anticipation, Melbourne-based indie singer-songwriter Paul Di Ben has made a triumphant return to the music scene with his new single, «I Wanna Fall in Love with You». This infectious pop anthem pays homage to the vibrant sounds of the 90s, blending house, disco, and the spirited essence of early 2000s music. With catchy hooks and beautifully layered production, the song encapsulates the exhilarating journey of infatuation and timeless yearning.
Paul Di Ben describes this track as a collaborative masterpiece, saying, «It’s the first song I ever wrote and also the first project I ever worked on with producer CDaw». He expresses how exciting it was to produce a dreamy and fun sound that encapsulates those disco vibes. The playful delivery of his vocals adds a sassy layer that engages listeners, making them want to lose themselves in the irresistible rhythm.
Originally conceived over a decade ago in collaboration with producer Valence, the song transitioned from an 80s-inspired demo—heavily influenced by the pop sounds of Britney Spears—into a slick, piano-driven house track. This transformation captures the timeless allure of love, expertly crafted by Singaporean producer CDaw, who has worked on Paul’s previous tracks as well. The uplifting energy and exciting harmony arrangements by Latin singer Germán Silva, paired with mixing and mastering by LA-based Josh Florez, create an anthem that resonates deeply with listeners looking to connect and experience the magic of love.
