Featured Artists

Here are the featured artists on this week’s Outed on Friday!:

KEiiNO – «Demon of your love»

KEiiNO creates pop music that draws inspiration from Sami and Norwegian cultural traditions. They hold the belief that everyone, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to dance in a way that is as vibrant and free as the mesmerising colours of the northern lights. Ruben – «Du lyg»

«Du lyg» / «You lie». This is Ruben’s initial foray into singing in Norwegian, a significant step for him as an artist. He has chosen to perform the song using the distinct dialect of northern Norway, an element that undeniably deepens the personal connection and emotional resonance within the piece. The choice of dialect adds an additional layer of authenticity, drawing listeners closer to the narrative and Ruben’s interpretation of it. Interestingly, the song itself came into existence remarkably quickly, being written the very day after following a painful breakup. This immediate outpouring of emotion clearly imbues the lyrics and melody with a raw vulnerability, making it a powerful expression of heartbreak captured in real-time. RetroPopBoy – «Sorrow Town»

RetroPopBoy’s new single, «Sorrow Town», follows up last year’s LGBTQ+ chart hit «Dreaming». A cover of Peach’s 1998 song, it’s produced by Project K, known for their work with Steps, Dannii Minogue, and many others. RetroPopBoy, a Spanish artist aiming to revive retro pop, says the song’s lyrics evoke «Smalltown Boy» and his own escape from a conservative Spanish hometown to London in the 1990s. Peder Elias – «Broken Heart»

Peder Elias, a talented artist hailing from Trondheim, Norway, is renowned for his remarkable skills as a songwriter and producer.
