Notable Mentions

This week’s «Watch out» song is «Cherry Pie» by Dani Ride and Lizz & Rosimar. Dani Ride, a Chilean singer-songwriter from Antofagasta, began his music career in Christian music, influenced by his upbringing in a Christian musical family. He gained early recognition with TV appearances on Yingo (2011) and Factor X 2 (2012) and by posting Spanish covers on YouTube, including a version of Bruno Mars’ «Just the Way You Are.»

This week’s Tim’s Throwback from Memory Lane features «Set Me Free» by Duane AJ.

Montjuïc‘s cover of David Cassidy’s 1970s song «Mae» is this week’s song of the week. The duo, Ian Carmichael (keys & programming) and James Hackett (guitar & vocals), will release «Mae» as the second single from their LP «Things Must Change», due now in September. The band embraces a formerly stigmatised appreciation for Cassidy’s music.

Newcomers of the Week

Brooklyn-based, Texas-born artist Reigen, known for tracks like «Smoke Drink Party» and «Lit Summer», is our «newcomer of the week» with «Keep Dreaming». The defiant ballad, Reigen’s response to questions from his 2021 release «Happy», marks his return to music in 2025 after focusing on visual art in Madrid.
