Leonardo Amor is gearing up for the biggest moment of his career as he steps onto the Melodi Grand Prix 2026 ( Norways You Decide for Eurovision) stage – and Norway is already buzzing. The Filipino‑born talent, who moved to Norway to chase his musical dreams, has spent the past few years building a reputation as one of the country’s most emotionally driven new voices. Now he’s ready to fight for a ticket to Eurovision.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Leonardo packed up his ambitions and headed for Norway, determined to carve out a place in the music world. His breakthrough came fast. In 2022, he represented Norway at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, where he stormed through to the super final and walked away with a prize that put him firmly on the international radar.
A year later, he became a familiar face to Norwegian viewers when he joined Ina Wroldsen’s team on The Voice Norway. His performances didn’t just impress the judges – they showcased a raw, heartfelt style that would become his signature.
By the summer of 2025, Leonardo had graduated from the prestigious LIMPI academy, where he honed his craft in songwriting, production and stage performance under the guidance of top mentors from Norway and abroad. His music, shaped by personal experiences of loneliness, love and resilience, has earned him a reputation for honesty and emotional depth.
Eurovision fans may already recognise his name. In 2025, he competed in San Marino’s national selection with the track «Calling For You», proving he’s no stranger to the high‑pressure world of Eurovision qualifiers.
Now he’s back with «Prayer»– a song that began as a scribble on a napkin during a shift at work and evolved into one of his most vulnerable creations yet. It’s a deeply personal piece, and Leonardo is ready to share it with the Melodi Grand Prix audience as he aims for the Eurovision stage.
With a story built on determination, talent and heart, Leonardo Amor enters MGP 2026 as one of the season’s most compelling contenders. The road to Eurovision has never looked more emotional – or more exciting.
