Amelie Jat Channels Main Character Energy In New «Cinematic!» Mixtape

«Cinematic!» is an energetic, effervescent collection of Jat’s recent pop-punk releases mixed with never-before-heard tracks that come together as the perfect soundtrack to an epic, chaotic teen romance movie.

London based singer-songwriter Amelie Jat is set to deliver her newest project, «Cinematic!», to fans out now. The emerging pop-punk icon quickly follows her recent release, «Faking Parties», that already boasts nearly 30K views for the music video just two weeks after release. This epic soundtrack combines previously released and brand new tracks for listeners to get lost in; at its core, «Cinematic!» is an extension of Jat’s most chaotic, shaping, and memorable moments as she moves through life and comes into her own. The mixtape captures euphoric highs and melancholic lows, ultimately existing as an invigorating sonic adaptation to what would’ve been Jat’s juiciest diary entries. Jat has worked with Grammy-nominated producer James McMillan (AKA quietmoney) and developed their artistic relationship over the course of many projects; the two workshopped the tracks on «Cinematic!» from start to finish while he supported the songstress as she explored her new sound. The two began working together in early 2021 on what would become the first track heard on this mixtape, though neither of them knew the depth of the project that would result from their initial collaboration. Jat wrote songs one after another as she worked through her first year at University; she continued bringing these new stories back to McMillan who helped translate her diary entry-like songs into the versions listeners can hear on the mixtape.
