Devon’s softer side shines through in «Call U After Rehab», which follows her big singles «W.I.T.C.H.” and «Hey Cowboy». «’Call U After Rehab’ is my most vulnerable release to date», Devon explains. «It’s a love song about taking a break from a relationship to take care of myself». «For a long, I was putting off my problems and justifying my bad habits. Deciding to say goodbye to my closest comforts in order to allow myself the space and time to heal was like pulling off an old bandaid. And in some ways, this release feels similar. I think others may relate by understanding the rehab concept in whatever way they wish».
Devon Cole, 24, has quietly risen as an enigmatic and engaging force to be reckoned with over the last year, encapsulating social truths in catchy pop bops. Her viral hit «W.I.T.C.H.» (Woman in Total Control of Herself) has over 70 million streams and counting. Following this triumph, she kept the momentum going with the eternally infectious sex-positive hymn «Hey Cowboy».
Devon has been on the verge of a massive breakout since signing to Arista Records in 2022. She’s already amassed millions of streams across her catalog, received critical acclaim from Billboard, BUSTLE, and EARMILK, and was recently nominated for a 2023 Juno Award for ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ and a 2023 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist.
