The Dutch artist Joost Klein will not be competing in the grand final of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. This decision comes after an incident that occurred following his performance in Thursday night’s semi-final, which prompted an investigation by the Swedish police.
While the legal process takes its course, it has been deemed inappropriate for Joost Klein to continue in the contest. It is important to clarify that this incident did not involve any other performer or delegation member, contrary to some media reports and social media speculation.
The Eurovision Song Contest maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour at our event. We are committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all staff involved in the contest.
Given the nature of Joost Klein’s behaviour towards a team member, it is considered a breach of contest rules. As a result, his participation in the grand final has been revoked.
Despite this unfortunate incident, the grand final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest will proceed with 25 participating songs. The focus remains on celebrating the diversity of music and talent from across Europe.
We want to assure the public that we take incidents like these seriously and are committed to upholding the integrity of the competition. The Eurovision Song Contest is a platform for artists to showcase their creativity and passion, and it is essential that everyone involved feels safe and respected.
As the event continues, we encourage fans to support their favorite artists and enjoy the performances. The Eurovision Song Contest is a celebration of music and unity, and we look forward to a memorable grand final.
But it still okey to do genocide by Israel, since EBU think that is appropriate!
