Peter Jöback wrote «Spectrum of Love», Stockholm Pride 2025’s anthem, with Ed Harcourt & Kathryn Williams. This song celebrates love, acceptance, and hope. With lyrics like «love knows no boundaries», the anthem resonates deeply with listeners and embodies the spirit of Pride. This week, «Spectrum of Love» climbed to the top of the European LGBTQ Music Chart, which showcases the continent’s LGBTQ community sound.
Swedish singer Darin, who is openly gay and a well-known pop artist in Sweden, achieved a notable position on the LGBTQ Music Chart with his popular song «Sommarland». The catchy and well-received track secured the number 20 spot, earning it the «Watch out» designation. This recognition highlights the song’s popularity and its potential to climb even higher on the chart in the future. Darin’s success with «Sommarland» further solidifies his presence in the music scene and underscores the song’s appeal within the LGBTQ community and beyond, making it a track to keep an eye on.
This week’s Tim’s Throwback from Memory Lane features «One More Night» by Percy Richter and Martina Petric.
This week, we’re highlighting «Is This Heaven» as our song of the week, a captivating track by the talented Leonardo Amor. Leonardo Amor is a rising star in the music scene, a Norwegian-Filipino singer and songwriter whose passion for music ignited at the tender age of four. From a young age, he immersed himself in melodies and rhythms, nurturing his innate musical abilities. Amor’s journey towards wider recognition began to gain momentum when he appeared on The Voice Norway in 2023. His participation in the show provided a platform to showcase his vocal talents and connect with a broader audience. Notably, he was a member of Team Ina Wroldsen, benefiting from her guidance and mentorship throughout the competition. This experience undoubtedly shaped his artistic development and helped him refine his craft, leading him to further pursue his musical ambitions and ultimately release «Is This Heaven».
Sid Hart, with his captivating track «Situationship», has been making waves and is rightfully recognised as this week’s newcomer of the week. Hart’s initial breakthrough as a promising artist occurred in Nicaragua, where his talent and potential shone brightly, garnering attention and acclaim. It seemed as though a successful and fulfilling career lay ahead for the burgeoning musician. However, beneath the surface of this promising beginning, a significant obstacle loomed. This challenge was the lack of freedom and acceptance for individuals identifying as queer within Nicaraguan society. This absence of a safe and inclusive environment ultimately compelled Sid Hart to seek refuge and self-expression elsewhere. In pursuit of a place where he could freely embrace his identity and live authentically, he made the pivotal decision to relocate to Norway. It was in Norway that Sid Hart finally discovered the freedom and acceptance he had been longing for, allowing him to fully express himself, both personally and artistically, without fear of discrimination or persecution.
