Transitioning into a new, soulful sound with the release of «50» last year, the Italian artist continues to explore this diverse catalogue of sounds with «L.A.»
Inspired by the cultural phenomena of the 80s, OFLB’s releases sparkle with nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from the cult classic Top Gun as well as musical icons Cindy Lauper and Phil Collins, «L.A.» is richly romantic – filled with smooth R&B melodies and soft synths.
«There are places that evoke emotions capable of lingering for a long time. These are the places that become important, and their memory can save a relationship from crisis», he explains. «It’s just a matter of remembering joyful moments spent there with the person you love».
OFLB’s elegant soundscapes have seen him share stages with Paolo Nutini, Andy Shauf, Scott Matthew, Hurts, Micah P. Hinson, as well as embarking on a 100 date live tour across Europe and Japan. Releasing his debut album «Our Life Will Be Made Of Simple Things» in 2016, Alessandro has since generated support from Clash Magazine, Ones To Watch and Notion for his carefully curated rhythms. In 2020 OFLB won the competition promoted by Italia Music Export – SIAE (Italian copyright collecting agency), that rewarded the most interesting music projects for export outside Italy.
With his EP soon to follow, the project is a celebration of OFLB’s new sound, inspired by a number of diverse genres as well as his international touring diary.
