New York City noise warrior Yuzima hits back at hate speech spread by the alt-right on new music video «Black Supremacy». Dancing in a utopia of floral shifting, artist created, digital backdrops, representing the morphing of the American state of blackness, Yuzima sings his melodic correction of the racist construct that reinforces white power and empowers privilege. Based on his self-produced sound (Yuzima play’s every instrument) with layers of reverbed guitars over a Bad Brains via Nine Inch Nails styled, electro-industrial beat, Yuzima shows how rock can speak to the current times in an aggressive yet fun way—even tossing in a blazing guitar solo, which leads to a transformed sonic world.
Yuzima is the perfect messenger, having been blocked by Roseanne Barr for his criticism on Twitter and repeatedly attacked Kanye West, who he calls a «traitor» and «sell-out» there is perhaps no musician better to deliver an anti-fascist message.
Yuzima has been called ‘noise-lord’ and ‘prince of noise’ in praise from music critics including IMPOSE magazine. Litsa Dremousis (Esquire, NPR) called «Black Supremacy»«powerful as hell», also receiving praise from Marky Ramone and Kevin Allred (the Beyonce professor). Yuzima’s album «Power» is available now on music streaming sites.
