After previous singles «Que Pasa», «La Mesa» and «Om om och om igen» Omar has shown his ability to mix Swedish and Spanish together with rhythmic beats and his dynamic vocals. In the beginning of 2018, Omar released «Que Pasa» together with Lamix, a Swedish hip-hop artist. An upbeat summer tune which has amassed over 3.5 million streams. During the summer of 2018 he released his second single «La Mesa» ft. Elias Hurtig at the same time as they both performed at Rockbjörnen – the biggest Swedish gala where the winners are voted by fans. Latest single «Om om och om igen» went straight up as #8 on Swedish Spotify top 50, peaked at #7 at the Swedish top charts and has over 5,9 million streams as well as reaching gold status in Sweden. «Om om och om igen» spent 9 weeks and got #11 as the highest position on LGBTQ Music Chart.
Now Omar is releasing his fourth self-written single «På Min Telephone Toda La Noche» – once again capturing the Latin American elements in the beat as well as the mixture between Spanish and Swedish.
Omars tells LGBTQ Music Chart in his own words about the song: «The song is about when you have met someone that you are into, but way too much and you are sort of obsessing over this person and thinking about them all the time».
After going back and forth to LA and Miami, writing with prominent songwriters who have worked with artists such as J Balvin, Jennifer Lopes and Maluma, Omar will release an EP this fall and demonstrate his immense talent as both an artist and songwriter.
Omar Rudberg‘s «På Min Telephone Toda La Noche» will be added to the LGBTQ Music Chart as a newcomer this Sunday – so if you want it to enter the chart – please give him a vote from this Sunday.
