ESC 2019 – Semi Final 2 – Winners

The Semi Finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 have concluded with 10 more acts successfully securing their place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 Grand Final on Saturday night.

At the end of an exciting show from Expo Tel Aviv, hosts Erez Tal and Lucy Ayoub revealed which 10 of the 18 acts competing tonight would «Dare to Dream» of winning the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday.

They will join the 10 acts which got through from Tuesday’s Semi-Final and the pre-qualified ‘Big Five’ countries; France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom and this year’s host country Israel.

The 10 qualifiers from tonight’s Semi-Final are:
North Macedonia (MKRTV) – Tamara Todevska, Proud
The Netherlands (AVROTROS) – Duncan Laurence, Arcade
Albania (RTSH) – Jonida Maliqi, Ktheju Tokës
Sweden (SVT) – John Lundvik,  Too Late For Love
Russia (RTR) – Sergey Lazarev, Scream
Azerbaijan (ICTIMAI TV) – Chingiz, Truth
Denmark (DR) – Leonora, Love Is Forever
Norway (NRK) – KEiiNO, Spirit In The Sky
Switzerland (SRG/SSR) – Luca Hänni, She Got Me
Malta (PBS) – Michela Pace, Chameleon

A draw will decide whether the 10 qualifiers perform in the first or second half of the Grand Final on 18 May.

The Eurovision journey has unfortunately ended for the seven countries which failed to qualify.

These are:

Ireland (RTE) – Sarah McTernan, 22
Moldova (TRM) – Anna Odobescu, Stay
Latvia (LTV) – Carousel, That Night
Romania (TVR) – Ester Peony, On A Sunday
Austria (ORF) – PAENDA, Limits
Croatia (HRT) – Roko, The Dream
Lithuania (LRT) – Jurij, Run With The Lions

Each country’s score was calculated based on points awarded by national expert juries and audiences voting via the Eurovision app and phone at home. These points were then combined to create an overall score for each act which determined the final result.

The expert jurors voted on last night’s dress rehearsal. Televoting took place tonight in all the participating countries and Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.

The ranking of the acts for both Semi Finals will not be revealed until after the winner is announced on Saturday 18 May.

41 EBU Member broadcasters are taking part in this year’s event, 26 of them will compete in the Grand Final.

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will take place at Expo Tel Aviv on Saturday 18 May.

The Eurovision Song Contest is a co-production between the European Broadcasting Union and its Israeli Member KAN.
