When Omar Rudberg was seven years old, he moved to Sweden with his mother and took every chance he got to perform on stage. After winning several talent shows and posting videos on Youtube his artist career really kicked off when he was 14 and became a founding member of what was to become Scandinavia’s biggest boyband, FO&O.
After four years of performing with FO&O, Omar is now getting back to his Latin American roots by focusing on doing songs in Spanish.
His solo debut «Que Pasa» featuring Lamix was released in February 2018 and quickly got over 2M streams. After that it didn’t take long before he released his second single «La Mesa» featuring Elias Hurtig, that was released on August 17th 2018.
Omar has also been working hard together with well-known hit makers from Sweden, Los Angeles and Miami who’ve written songs with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Ozuna and Maluma.
Omar most recently released his third self-written single «Om om och om igen», once again singing both in Spanish and Swedish. It was one of the entries competing to get to the finals of Melodifestivalen (the Swedish selection for Eurovision) unfortunately he didn’t get it. The song debuted on #8 in the Swedish Spotify top 50 charts and has over 600 000 streams on Spotify.
Now Omar is showcasing his talent both as a songwriter and dancer and together with his dynamic vocals he is ready to show the world his profound musicality and artistry.
«Om om och om igen» will be added to the LGBTQ Music Chart as one of the newcomer for Week 10 (voting starts on Sunday).
