Cazzi Opeia has dropped what could be the most hopeful festive single of the year — «Love, Peace & Understanding» — and this time every play really does count. The Swedish singer-songwriter has pledged all proceeds from the track for the next year to UNICEF Sweden, turning a cosy Christmas tune into a rallying cry for children’s rights.
With a warm, uplifting melody and a message that refuses to be gloomy, the song urges listeners to choose trust, care and solidarity at a moment when the world feels increasingly fractured. It’s not just seasonal cheer: the record is framed as a practical act of giving, a way to help children sleep safer, learn and grow with dignity.
Cazzi, born Moa Carlebecker, says the single comes from the heart. «For me, Christmas is about love, caring and giving. I wanted to create a song that not only warms the heart but also actually does good» she explains, calling her collaboration with UNICEF «incredibly meaningful».
UNICEF Sweden’s Secretary General Pernilla Baralt praises the move as more than a donation. She describes the release as a statement for children’s equal rights to life and development, and highlights how an artist’s voice can create immediate impact and long-term hope.
Cazzi Opeia is no stranger to international success — she’s written for global K-pop acts including BTS, Red Velvet and ITZY — but with «Love, Peace & Understanding» she’s using that reach for something bigger than chart positions. The message is simple and urgent: press play this Christmas and help change a child’s tomorrow.
