SVT guarantee a star-studded lineup of beloved artists and 17 debutants, all vying for the Songbird title and a chance to represent Sweden in Eurovision this May.

Semi-final 4 – Malmö, 22 February 2025

1. «Vicious» – Andreas Lundstedt

Origin: Andreas Lundstedt, Dino Medanhodzic, Laurell Barker, Liamoo

Andreas Lundstedt has participated in Melodifestivalen ten times from 1996 to 2025, making him and Kikki Danielsson the third most frequent contestants, behind Östen Warnerbring and Ann-Louise Hanson. In 2025, he also ranks joint sixth for the most finals reached in the modern Melodifestivalen. Didn’t make i to the final.

2. «Bara du är där» – Ella Tiritiello

Origin:  Adam «Rymdpojken» Englund, David Björk, Loreen Talhaoui

On 22 February 2025, Ella performed her new single «Bara Du Är Där», an emotionally driven ballad that draws inspiration from her strong bond with her mother. While not currently in a romantic relationship, Ella shares that her mother is her greatest muse. «For me, ‘Bara Du Är Där’ is about her. I think it’s amazing when listeners can create their own interpretations and personal connections to the song», she explains. Made it to the second chance 1 March 2025.

3. «Yours» – Tennessee Tears

As the anticipation rises for Melodifestivalen 2025, fans are thrilled to see the return of the Swedish country duo, Tennessee Tears. Comprising the talented Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson, the duo is back on stage with their new single, «Yours». Following their impressive entry in the 2023 competition with «Now I Know», Tennessee Tears was ready to bring a fresh flavour to this year’s event. Didn’t make it to the final.

4. «Bara bada bastu» – Kaj

Origin: Anderz Wrethov, Axel Åhman, Jakob Norrgård, Kevin Holmström, Kristoffer Strandberg, Robert Skowronski

The Finnish-Swedish comedy group Kaj has unveiled their latest single, «Bara Bada Bastu», as they prepare to compete in the highly anticipated Melodifestivalen 2025. This new song pays homage to the cherished sauna culture that is so integral to both Finnish and Swedish traditions. Known for their wit and charm, Kaj has once again blended humour with captivating melodies, making this release a noteworthy entry in the competition. Went directly to final.

5. «Do Good Be Better» – AmenA

Origin: AmenA, Sandra Bjurman, Stefan Örn

Five years ago, Amena Alsameai arrived in Sweden alone after fleeing war-torn Yemen. In 2021, she participated in Idol, finishing in ninth place among competitors like Jacqline, Annika Wickihalder, and Fredrik Lundman. AmenA didn’t make it to the final.

6. «Revolution» – Måns Zelmerlöw

Origin: David Lindgren Zacharias, Måns Zelmerlöw, Ola Svensson, Sebastian Atas

After a decade-long hiatus, Måns Zelmerlöw returns to Melodifestivalen, igniting excitement among fans. On 22 February, he graces the stage in Malmö, Sweden with his electrifying new song, «Revolution». This marks his first competition entry since his remarkable victory with «Heroes» in 2015, a moment that catapulted him to Eurovision fame and established his international career. Måns went directly to final as expected.

The Melodifestivalen 2025 fifth semi-final is scheduled to be broadcast on Saturday, the 01 of March, via SVT, starting at 20.00. Be sure to tune in for this exciting event!
